Why Can’t I Keep the Weight Off?
December 16, 2020
Have you already decided that “get healthy” or “lose weight” is going to be at the top of your 2021 New Year’s resolutions or goals—again?

Well, I want to help you make this the last time that weight loss is on your to-do list. I get it, you probably desperately want things to be different. This is going to be your year! It’s not from lack of desire and certainly not from a lack of effort. Do any of these sound familiar?
  • You make changes with great intentions but never get the results you’re looking for.
  • You come across the latest fitness crazy and buy some new workout clothes because that is what you have been taught for years—eat right and exercise.
  • You join a gym, again. Or maybe that new group class will do the trick.
  • You try every diet—you eat the grapefruit, drink the shakes, take the pills, order the box food.
You have done it all right? And the scale moved. It went down and you got a glimpse of what it felt like to have energy, for your body to stop hurting and start healing. But soon enough, you find yourself back at square one. You try again and with each time the shame and guilt increase.

Maybe you’ve already learned how to move the scale by properly fueling your body with real foods. But what if that is still not enough?

What do you do after a couple of days, weeks or even months when you find yourself gaining the weight back. Once again you are disappointed in yourself, thinking something is wrong with you and asking “Why can’t I just lose the weight?”

I’ll tell you why…Life happened, stress happened, change happened (or any other myriad of triggers) and you turned to your emotional eating habits. We all have them. We comfort with food. We celebrate with food. We avoid boredom with food and even try to alleviate stress with food. How often do you say that piece of chocolate or slice of pizza will make you feel better?

Experts estimate that 75% of overeating is caused by emotions. All emotions. If you’re anything like me, you can’t keep the weight off because you have a toxic relationship with food.

Identifying and conquering your relationship to food and your emotional eating triggers is just as important as learning how to properly fuel and care for your body. This is the missing link to getting the weight off and keeping it off.
It’s time to live the life you’ve imagined. This can be your year. Are you ready? I know that answer—yes. The real question is…are you willing?

If the answer there is yes, join my 21-day workshop on How to End Your Toxic Relationship with Food. This 3-week workshop will take you on a deep dive to look at what role food plays in your life and how to take action and make positive changes to get you on the road to the life you want. Though weight loss can be a benefit, our goal is not a number on a scale. Our goal is to end your toxic relationship with food.
Through my own experience (30 years of being fat), I’m going to help you identify the role food is playing in your life, learn how to take control, and build the tools you’ll need to get off the diet merry-go-round for the last time.

Start the year right and set yourself up for success, no matter what 2021 might have in store!
